The clutch pedal in my car unexpectedly stopped springing back up from the floor after taking my foot off. I would expect that to keep the engine disengaged, but rather the clutch stays engaged. Because I cannot disengage it, the engine stalls every time I try to start it. I was able to get the car started with a rolling start and was able to shift, albeit roughly, without using the clutch pedal. Does this sound like an easy fix or rather something major a specialist should tend to?

Sir-maybe the return spring at the clutch pedal bracket is sprung. And also might want to bleed the hydraulic system-and adjust the free play and pedal height.
