Replaced fuel pump 2 months ago. Everything was fine. Then I was driving it one day for maybe two miles and the engine lost power and shut off. I got it to start once on side of road and it sputtered but wouldn't go when I put in gear. Now it won't start. I'm getting fuel to fuel rail at Schrader valve. I replaced crankshaft position sensor; spark plugs and wires. Checked all fuses (all good), checked all fluid levels. I put a code reader on truck, and it had 7 error codes P0137, P0171, P0174, P0307, P0332, P0446. When I try to start it, the engine sounds like it's turning faster than normal. And I hear a dragging or grinding noise while trying to start it. It kind of seems like the timing is off or something. What is wrong with my truck?

It sounds like the timing chain broke, but I can tell for sure if you upload a quick video of the engine cranking over, or you can do a compression test.

Here is a guide to help you:

Well, before I went through the process to check the timing chain, I decided to test every sensor (if possible) and the ignition coils. I sprayed starting fluid in throttle body and got it to start and sputter for 5 seconds before backfire. But while checking the camshaft sensor (which is in a hard place to get to) I noticed the power wire and signal wire both had copper wire showing right where it went into connector. I taped each wire preventing them from touching. Got in truck and it took maybe 10 tries but each try it sputtered a little longer until it started like normal like it should. Took it out to relearn the crankshaft sensor and it seems to be fixed. Can't believe I spotted the wires exposed and touching but glad I did. I was 100% sure it was a broken timing chain. Glad it wasn't. Thanks a lot Ken.
