Lost all gears except park

I was driving at fifty five mph and heard a pop, engine would rev but it would not pull. I pulled over and put car in park and back to drive, engine would rev but the car still would not move, shifted to reverse and nothing happened.

Common problem with the Nissan CVT transmission. The drive belt inside the transmission has failed. This is so common that Nissan extended the coverage on them to ten years 120,000 miles. You might want to call a dealer and see if you would still fall under that extension.
