Engine Cooling problem
2000 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 108000 miles

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Grand Ltd. And my radiator fan does not spin. I check the relay and the cooper connection looks to be in one piece. The fan spins freely whwen I turn it. Do I need to replace the fan and if so what would be an estimate cost to replace/repair?

Hello,

How did you check the relay?

I ask this next question because some people look up relay location and relays for a cherokee and not the grand cherokee. And they are different.

Were was the relay located?

Did you hot wire the fan directly to the battery? If so did it come on... If not then most likely you need a coolant fan motor...

Here is a picture of the relay for a Grand Cherokee..
