Engine fan won't stop running when engine is off

The engine fan on my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (27,000 or so miles on it) is still running even after I shut off the engine. No indicators lights have come on suggesting any trouble. If I have to take it in to the dealer for servicing, will it drain my battery until I can get there?

If it doesn't ever go off, it sounds like a bad temp sencer or relay. If it's a 2003 with only 27,000 miles and was sold or built sometime after this month, it should still be under warrenty. Check between where the drivers door closes for a sticker that has final assembly date. I hope this helped!
