I was driving my truck down the road and all the sudden it shut off no warning. It's like I turned the key off. I thought it could be my in line fuel filter but I can't seem to find it. Can you please help me?

I'm not sure of engine litre size? The fuel filter may be part of the fuel sender assembly in the gas tank, If you think it is a fuel issue?

What about an electrical issue? At the moment, will the vehicle crank?

Just a thought, the info I gave you was from our database. Incase of frame rail fuel filter, lay on the ground, on the passenger side, look at the inside frame rail on driver side, do you see anything that looks like a fuel filter?

Its a 2006 Silverado 1500, 5.3 liter. The fuel pump works we checked it. When we try to start it the truck it wants to start but it acts like its not getting gas. I looked but didn't find a fuel filter on the rail. Would it be covered by anything?

I'm afraid it's in the gas tank. You would have to remove gas tank. I would definitely use a gage and check fuel pressure before you do anything.
