Excel Overheating

I have a '95 model Hyundai Excel Twin-Cam which is overheating. I have traced it to the cooling fans not switching on. It has air conditioning and the aux. Fan also will not switch on. I believe they operate separately from each other? All the fuses are intact and the wiring looks to be in good order. Problem is I can't find the thermo switch, I am presuming it is separate to the temperature gauge sensor.

When U say "Falls" into neutral, does the shift lever move? Or do you just loose power? If U loose power check fluid level! If thats OK Tranny needs a rebuild.

The is a sensor that senses the coolant then sends it to a sending unit which in turn sends it to the ECM. Find the one and follow the wires to the other.

Thanks for your help, blackop555. I found the problem. Would you believe ants! Yes, tiny ants! They had gotten into the fuse/relay box and into the relays - 3 of the relays didn't work. I pulled them apart and 2 had ants squashed between the coil contacts, the other one the offending matter fell out when I opened the relay cover. There were ants all through the fuse box. As soon as I had cleaned the relay contacts, they worked again! I HAVE seen this before, in the Northern Territory of Australia. The ants seem to have a liking for small electromagnetic fields.
