2002 Sonata overheating

When sitting idle too long temp guage climbs to red zone, moving/driving the temp goes back down. If I turn the a/c on it just intensifies/quickens the process and air does not blow cold. Had freon charged 4 mos ago and problem subsided and air was cold, now problem has resurfaced.

Start the car up do you see the fan spinning after 5min.S of warm up. If so replace the thermostat and then comeback

Sounds like both fans arent working

When was the last time you put coolant in it- You need to answer the questions we're asking, otherwise we cannot help you. And might be too late when the headgasket blows. So help us to help you.
