Hyundai accent 2004 39,000km 1.6 litre 4cyl. Engine: My accent has been making a clicking sound on the front passenger side when braking and turning. The clicking seems to start after a while of driving and after it starts it continues to click even after releasing the brakes. I've taken it to hyundai twice now. The first time they told me there was a little rust on the clip which they said they buffed out and it was fine now. The clicking never went away though and on the second visit they said they spent an hour looking for the problem and could find nothing wrong. They said that if it continues to take it back they'd look again but I'm getting tired of driving an hour to the dealership only to have them tell me there's nothing wrong and send me on my way. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

I have seen alot of times on the accent rust on the outer portion of the rotor contacts the caliper and makes noise, pull off two 12mm bolts on calipr and check for an contact marks on bottom of caliper.

Thank you soooooo much. It was exactly what you said it was. I took the car to a mechanic here and the minute the tire was taken off you could see a thick layer of rust all around the rotor. You could also see where the rotor was scraping the caliper. I was so mad that hyundai told me they spent an hour checking the brakes and what not on that side and couldn't find anything. My problem was fixed within half an hour. So thank you very much. Hyundai will be hearing from me. :D
