My Accent does not like it when it is wet out. The car will start fine when it is dry. I will go to it after it has sat for a weekend and it will not start. I leave it for the day and come back to it later and it starts like a dream. This makes it hard to diagnose as I have to get to work and when I do have time to look at it the car works fine. It looks to me like it has to be an electrical problem because it has coil packs and not a distributor cap. My questions is are there any common areas these cars had electrical problems that would cause this situation.

Thanks in advance
Dave

Dave:
Try this. If it happens only when it is wet, chances are you have a coil shorting. At night time, when it is dark, start the engine and open the hood. Spray a mist of water over the entire ignition system to see if there are any arcs. If there is, that is where the problem is.

Let me know what you find.
