1993 Honda Civic AC stops working in hot weather

When it is cool outside the AC will freez you, but when it is moderately warm it will cool fine for a while and then quit and not come back on untill the engine has cooled completely. If it is really hot out (90F+) the compressor clutch will not even cycle on even once.

Hi gabby,

When AC compressor does not come on, you would have to test if power is available at the clutch relay and clutch assy. It could be a faulty, switch or a weak compressor clutch.
