Air Conditioning problem
1993 Honda Civic 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I'm pretty sure most Honda civic had this A/C problem before, My A/C seems to work when I accelerate going over 50 mph. Lower then that, the A/C is not working as it suppose to. I need it to keep it on a constant cold Level but I dont know how to fix it, can anyone tell me a solution to my problem?

Hi Hondauser93,

2 possible reasons.

1. Condenser is not getting cooled fast enough. Are condenser or radiator fans working?
2. Insufficient freon. Need to test the pressure of both low and high to understand better.

I took it to a mechanic today, and found out that one of my fans is not working(motor fan is wat he called it) also he says dats it possible that a suspension(or something lk dat) is probably causing the problem. He also checked the pressure and told me that the gas was to high and that he is going to hav to check if its contaminated or something otherwise im gona hav to replace the whole unit.

IDk if thats relly the case or not, wat do u guys think?

Hi Hondauser93,

Just get the fan working first and worry about the freon pressure later.
When cooling is inefficient, the pressure will build up.
