The temperature guage in my Honda Accord rises rapidly when I have the AC on and I'm stuck in traffic. Once I start moving again, the temperature usually goes back down. But most of the time I have to turn the heat on to get the temperature lower because Im afraid it will overheat. Mechanics say the AC is working properly.

Hi robtro,

The problem is not with the AC but the cooling system.

With AC turned ON, does both the cooling fan comes on?

Well how about that! I went to check the fans to see if they would move as the car heated up. Neither fan would spin. I noticed a wire with a plug dangleing from one fan. I picked it up and found another wire near it. The dam fan was unplugged. I checked the other fan and it too was unplugged. As soon as both fans were plugged in they started spinning. How woud both fans find themselves unplugged. Go figure.

Someone forgot to plug it in when he removed the radiator for repairs. Maybe it was something that wanted to have some fun with you? ;)
