Hi,

Chances are it will need programmed. That is specifically related to the vehicle's audio.

As far as the TIPM, that should be plug and play.

Yes, that is correct. However, there is a chance it may not need it. I would plan for it but first, confirm it is needed.

Hi,

DRB3 is what Chrysler calls their scanners. DRB stands for diagnostic readout box and supports all of Chrysler's vehicles. To have one, usually you work for a dealership. They are very expensive. You may have to have it done by a dealership or a shop that has a high-end scanner that can reprogram this unit.

Couldn't I save money by buying the TIPM and FCM with it wouldn't it be programed already or do I need to plug in the TIPM and then program the FCM?

You will need to ask the seller if they have one like that. I'm not sure if it is even available.

You are very welcome. If you have a chance, let me know how things turn out. Also, please make sure the tests were performed confirming the TIPM is the issue. I don't want you to spend money unless it's absolutely necessary.

Take care of yourself.

Hi,

The low beam switch is what signals power to the TIPM which in turn allows the lights to work. Any switch is used to either close a circuit (make contact to complete) or open a circuit (disconnect or prevent power flow). In general, it works just like a light switch at home. It completes a circuit when on.

As far as the torque specs, see the directions below. Note: it indicates 100-inch pound of torque and not foot pounds.

Let me know if this helps and what was causing the lights to stop operating.

Take care,

Joe
