Go to turn key over car powers up but no crank.
Also have to use two hands to shift out of park into gear. I am two hundred and ten pounds and avidly pick up heavy things.
1: Cut and installed 2.2k ohm resistor in between a small yellow and black wire to bypass pass-lock on ignition module.

2: Did check shifter by taking off cable connections at both ends (in car and at transmission. Cable and shifter are good. However, link at top of transmission where the cable attaches to seems really hard to move. Guessing something internally is the issue.
Thanks

Hello,

Let's look at the no crank issue.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/starter-not-working-repair

When you turn the key what does it do?
Does it make a clicking noise? or does it not make any noise at all?

If you hear it click, it means the power is getting to the starter relay, but it is unable to start turn the starter to start the vehicle. Which means the starter is faulty and need to be replaced.

If you do not hear anything when you turn the key, the issue could be a bad ignition switch. The ignition switch is the electrical component that the lock cylinder attaches to. The pins in the switch tends to malfunction and keep the engine from starring.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
