I have a 1993 Ford F-150 4x4. It has a 4.9L 300 in-line 6 cylinder with a manual tranny. It has approximately 221,000 miles on it. I was off road the other day and when I started going the day after I went to shift into 2nd gear and it stalled when I let out of the clutch. It then started the same thing in 1st and reverse. If it is in neutral it seems to idle and accelerate fine. The problem only occurs when you let off the clutch all the way and try to accelerate. Help please

Can you "slide" the clutch and keep it from stalling? Sounds like it could possibly be in 2 gears at once. If you have external shift rods, check 3-4 to see if it is in gear, if internal shifting rods, might have to take the trans out to have it fixed

No It will still stall. I had it going when I found what I think is a vacum tube that was broken. I just wrapped it in electrical tape just to see if it would help but it still tries to stall when I am in 3rd and going up an incline

So now it only stalls going up an incline. You need to be specific with what it is doing if I am going to be able to help you
