Fuel pump getting no power.

Fuel pressure range for your truck should be 30 to 40 lbs. 30 lbs at idle and jumping to 37 when you turn the key off is normal. When you shut the engine off, the vacuum drops at the regulator so the pressure will jump. I'm still waiting to hear about injector pulse. Check for pulse with FP relay in, and again with it out.

Ok brand new relay, still same issue fuel pump running with the switch off. Changed with the battery disconnected to avoid shorting out the new relay.

I NEED YOUR ENGINE SIZE

I "MIGHT" BE ABLE TO GET THE WIRING DIAGRAM(S) FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM

MANY TIMES A VEHICLE OF THAT AGE DOES NOT SHOW UP IN MITCHELL I

YOURS DOES---I WANNA INSURE I GET YOU THE CORRECT DIAGRAM, AND NOT CONFUSE YOU WITH 4 OR 5 THAT DOES NOT PERTAIN TO YOUR TRUCK

IMMA JEEP CJ KINDA GUY, I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MY DAD'S '86 THUNDERBIRD----IT HAD 2 FUEL RELAYS

MITCHELL USUALLY HAS LOCATIONS OF COMPONENTS LABELED BESIDE THE SYMBOLS ON THE DIAGRAM. EZ TO READ AND TO FIND STUFF

EVEN IF THERE IS NOT A 2ND RELAY, YOU WILL EZily SEE EVERY ELECTRICAL COMPONENT IN THE SYSTEM, AND MIGHT COME UP WITH "WHAT ELSE" COULD BE CAUSING THE VOLTAGE TO CONSTANTLY FEED THE PUMP

I WAS ON-LINE WHEN YOU RESPONDED, I MAY STILL BE ON IF YOU RESPOND SOONRIGHT NOW, MITCHELL I IS STILL PULLED UP WITH YOUR INITIAL INFO

YOUR TURN

It has injector pulse even after its warm, what about ignition module.? I put a new plugs cap rotor and wires on today, it starts a lot faster after its warm but still takes 6-10 cranks before it goes, and sometimes it doesn't start unless I turn pumps off

Remove the TFI module and bring it to the parts store, they can test it, check the sprk when it wont start, is it a good strong blur spark? Or weak orange yellow?

The pcm grounds the fuel pump relay. If you remove the relay, do the pumps turn off?

I would follow Merlin2021's advise and have the TFI module tested. They have been known to break down under heat since the day they came out.

I have disconnected the temperature sensor, not the one for the gauge the other one almost right next to it, it starts fine now and the check engine light came on. Does that sensor have anything to do with ignition or fuel, or is it just coincidence that it starts now?

That would be the coolant temp sensor. It sends a signal to the ECM telling the it how warm the engine is so it can adjust the fuel mixture. Disconnected, it "should" trip the engine light. If this turns out to be the problem, I'm going to slash my wrists. That doesn't make any sense at all. I can see affecting cold start, but not warm. Change it.
