Shakes or Wobbles problem
1996 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

1996 ford explorer xl 4wd, 4.0liter automatic trans.

The vehicle begins to shake between 25 and 45 mph. You can feel the shake mostly in the seat but also in the steering wheel. At higher speeds the vehicle does not shake nearly as much but something can still be felt.

Between 25 and 45 mph the shaking only occurs when I have the throttle open. The shaking gets worse as I increase throttle in between this range.

Hi,
I am not a mechanic, but have been working on my own vehicles for over 20 years. I would have someone check to see if the tires are out of balance or the front end is out of alignment. Neither are costly.
