I have a 2005 Cadillac Cts, with about 119,000 miles on it I've had it for a few months and just recently the engine seems to have a louder noise than it had when I first got it after I had gotten the oil changed. Also, when braking from speeds of 40 or more the car shakes a bit and the steering seems to shake or vibrate also for the duration of the braking. Is this the rotors or possibly the tires?

It could be both but check the rotors first as they may be warped, especially if it feels like the brake pedal is moving up anddown. Have the tires checked as well or if you see thwear bars showing then replace the tires. Check to make sure your engine is full of oil andif the noise continues you might try another brand of oil filter.
