Sometimes my car looses power and RPM level goes crazy when I put windows up or down. When I have headlights on especially when it rains and I can turn lights off and power returns to normal but turn lights back on looses power again. Could it be a wet or bad ground? And if so where would the problem most likely be located?

Good evening,

The first thing I would do is to load test your battery to be sure it can provide enough power to work all the accessories.

Then check the charging system as well.

Low voltage is the most common reason for this issue.

I just put a new battery in about a month ago and the alternator has been checked. It seems to do it worse when it is raining. And I also put new alternator belt on two weeks ago. We have had a lot of rain and the inside of my car stays wet so maybe something has gotten wet or is corroded, but I don't know where to check.

Got it.

That was two weeks ago.

You need to check the actual battery voltage and the charging system. You need to start with a source of power to be sure there is plenty available.
