First I pulled out the door ajar dinger in drivers door cause I was installing a stereo and I got sick of the noise with the door open nothing had seamed to change or fail after that for like three months. Then my ex stole keys and would not give them back so I chiseled the ignition with a hammer and screw driver then door ajar light started staying on about a month. After that I seen the passenger side rear tail light was half full with water and a couple of the bulbs were blown. Now when the ignition is in the off "not accessory" position any time I press the brakes my dash and parking lights come on I am thinking that the water in the tail light had shorted something out, because there was no major issues until after that a friend tells me that I could have knocked some wiring loose form chiseling the ignition. But I am just trying to find out where I should start troubleshooting or what not. I feel like it is causing a chain of events and one thing goes wrong after another.
Please help!

Check the grounds for the tail lights. If it has corroded or failed you are seeing the brake light voltage trying to find a ground through the parking light bulbs and up to the dash lights.

Door ajar is usually from a bad/damaged door switch.
