1999 Dodge Caravan Engine bring black thick smoke.

Sir,
I observed that anytime it rained, the car does not start easily and when it starts, thick black smoke comes from the exaulst. It will move for a while and stop. But when you leave the car for 30-40 mins later it struggle to start and then ok for now to come back when the rain fall again. Iam in Nigeria, West Africa.

Suspect moisture maybe in distributor cap. Pull cap look for wetness. Also plug wires ar effected by moisture during rain observe wires while cranking if sparks like lightening come from wires need replacing.
