Brought used, running for two months. One day no start crank. Only, I changed starter, fuel pump and strainer, fuel filter, blew compressed air through lines. Changed wires and spark plugs, brand new battery, changed some five prong fuse inside cab on passenger side panel behind glove box. If I had a failed alternator the motor would start still, just charge the battery. So it has been a month since running.

When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine can you hear the fuel pump prime for five seconds? If not can you use starting fluid to get it to run?

Please let us know.

Cheers, Ken

I installed a new fuel pump, and it did start with fluid sprayed in throttle body. Some thing must be shorting out I had to change out the the wires for new fuel pump in the lines together, did not cover it though as in best shrink protection. I tested full pump before installed and works. I am working on it now, but I think I will go to the beach instead.

Lol, good call sometimes is best to fall back and punt. Here is a guide to help check the wiring and the engine and fuel pump wiring diagrams so you can test to see what's going on:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

and

Check out the wiring and relay location diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Well I dropped the tank for a third time in three weeks, I heat shrink the two solders wires for the fuel pump, ran jumper cables from the battery put positive and negative wires at the end and tested the fitting for the fuel pump after the heat shrink, and I could not believe it, it worked. Anyway long story short. I also got new fuses 12 volts, a blue 15a. Switch is for EFI but it also needed to changed. So I did what I had to do so now moment of truth crank um two times, nothing. The third time I was ready cry and break something. Fourth time, it started. Wow! I felt free, but anyway it is 10:00 pm in Hawaii. Time to sleep.
