When it dies, you need to check for spark and fuel pressure so we can figure out what it is. What you describe sounds like a fuel pump, but we need to be sure, that is an expensive part to just throw at it.

Truck had been dieing while idling, while driving 70 mph on freeway, or just driving through neighborhood, but will always start back up sometimes instantlly some times about ten min. Later. Codes showed a few different things it could be did a few test and found the following problems that are all now fixed. Changed spider fuel assembley, fuel pressure reg, EGR, O2 sensors, plugs, wires, distributer cap, runs great but still dieing. Running out of options, frustrated and need some help. Would make a donation, but this money pit in my driveway has left my pockets pretty bare.

Had about the same problem try cleaning your trottle body. I used mass air flow sensor cleaner (its what I had) you can use alcohol just make sure its dry before you put it back together. Make sure your air filter is clean to.

What were the codes that were present before you replaced everything? Have you checked the TPS (throttle position sensor) - IACV (idle air control valve) IATS (intake air temperature sensor) - CTS (coolant tempertaure sensor) What is the fuel pressure? Have the ignition module and the coil tested. Autozone or a place like that will do this for free.

Hi,

There could be a couple things causing this. I hate to ask this, but I need you to start a new thread. Simply copy and paste your question as a new question. Someone will answer it promptly. We are asking this simply because we are trying to keep all threads specific to one topic. I hope you understand.

Joe
