1998 Chevy S-10 Fuel pump

I went over a speed bump and my truck shut off. After looking at the truck the fuel pump is not on. I have checked the voltage and it only reads 5 volts. I have checked all wires and grounds. Is the fuel pump bad?

May want to check the fuel pump relay first. You can also try the old method of banging on the tank to get the pump to come on for a minute or two. If bumping the tank jars the pump on then you know its bad.
