1985 Chevy S-10 car only starts when stater fluid is spraye

Truck will only start when starter fluid is sprayed into it///and now the hood release inside the truck has broken and I cant get the hood opened /i have just lost my job and am single & cant afford a mechanic or tow truck to get it to someplace to check it out //thanks

Looks as if your engine has lost compression. If you take the oil filler cap off w/engine running and it is blowing air and some smoke out of it this is probably a problem in your bottem end, Rings, cylinder wear. Piston's, etc. If not blowing out oil filler you probably have valve trouble in top end, heads. Either way this will not be cheap. Sorry. Steve931 :roll:
