'92 Chev Cavalier - Automatic - 118,000 km - completely dies while I'm driving - does not sputter or shake - everything just shuts off. Doesn't matter if it's in the city or highway. Have to pull over, wait a few minutes and then it will restart only to shut off again down the road. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Rose

The CRANK SENSOR needed to be replaced - it now works like a charm.
Hope this helps anyone else with this problem.

Glad to hear you got it fixed up.

Out of curiosity, did you get any trouble codes before you fixed it? How did you determine it was the sensor?

It took a lot of trial and error and asking around. Someone else had the same trouble. From there it was fixed. Didn't get any codes.
