2001 Chevy Cavalier dash lights on

My engine light came on a week ago and it stays on.I couldn't find any problem. Now my abs light and emergency brake light are staying on. I adjusted the brakes and replaced front shoes. No help. I got a code scanner and came up with 2 codes. Po440: evaporative emission system and po442: evapoative emission system small leak. How do I fix this and what has that got to do with my braking system?

The evap leak is in the fuel system. It could be a fuel cap or a small leak elsewhere. What I recommend is to have the system fogged. The fog will leak out where the problem is, otherwise you will go crazy trying to find the leak.
