1999 Chevy Cavalier why does this car just stop?

My daughter has a Cavalier. I recently had the fuel pump replaced, but sometimes it just quits and locks up. It starts again after a few minutes, and when it will happen is very unpredictable. I don't want to spend alot more on this car for obvious reasons.
Can you guess what might be wrong?

Obvious reasons? IT only has 70,000 mile. It can triple that.

Was the fuel filter replace at the same time?

I would be suspicious of any brand pump other than delco or delphi on that car. May not be fuel related. Such as ignition module?

Needs to be troubleshot when problem is happening.
