I have a 92 RS Chevy Camaro with about 215,000 miles right now. Its an automatic with the 305 V8. Its not starting and when I went to check to see if it was getting gas it was just blowing air. So that means its the fuel pump needs to be changed right?

Wrong! Maybe you got correct fuel pressure from the pump but the injectors are not energizing because the computer is not getting an igntion signal to activate the injector/s.

Check all these things before you replace the fuel pump;

1. On the relay bracket at left side of firewall in the engine compartment is where the fuel pump relay is located.

2. Fuel pump fuse is near battery

3. Fuel pump and oil pressure switch on lower left side of engine.

4. The fuel pump is in the tank.

Good Luck
