We have replaced the battery and even replaced the alternator and master cylinder because at first the car would crank and if we turned the car off it wouldn't come back on. I've bought new brakes as well because my brakes were not working. Everything was fine the other day but when we tried to start it today the car wouldn't even turn on nor did the dash lights. But the windows will roll down and the cars lights underneath the seats turn on. What does this mean?

Hi,

If the starter isn't engaging and basically you lose power to most everything, the first thing I would check is the battery terminals. If there is a bad connection due to corrosion or a weak terminal, this can happen.

Take a look through this link. It explains how to check/repair this type the issue.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe
