My car wont start and the security like is on. My security system wont let the car start. How do I fix?

I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix SE 3.1L. The security light has been on forever and now it just wont crank?

The first thing I would check is if the wire to the ignition cylinder is broken?

Its under the steering column covers.

I took the airbag off my steering wheel and took the steering wheel bolt off but my steering wheel wont come off? The steering wheel has to come off to get the column covers off.

Put the steering wheel nut back on a couple of threads then rock the steering wheel side to side while pulling the wheel towards you. If that doesn't work then you will need a steering wheel/bolt grip puller set.
