Recently had a shop install a new fuel pump, filter, a couple of lines, regulator, charcoal canister. Car ran fine for a few months.

Now it turns over but will not fire. It started to idle poorly then shut off at a stop. Finally had to have it towed home.

Good afternoon.

I would start by checking for spark and fuel pressure. we need to start at basics.

Do you hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key on?

Got it running. Camshaft sensor was pulled and found to be covered in metal particles, much like what is found on your magnetic oil drain plug. Wiped it off and car fired up. Replaced with new sensor.

Okay, good find. Now the question is, where did the debris come from? Something is wrong and it will happen again unless you find the reason why it happened.
