Stuck in snow and got it out and as it idles it overheats and shuts off and won't restart or release the key. Jump started it with battery charger and let it run. No battery light came on and gauge was at about 13 but as it overheats after idling it shuts off and won't restart or attempt to start like battery is dead. Could it be my alternator or tension pulley not working to cause it not to keep it charged and keep it from overheating? I checked serpentine belt and it's on but thought it could be the tension pulley not holding belt on tight and possibly cause it not to keep battery charged and keep it from overheating?
