My car started feeling jerky then the check engine lights came on and gave a code saying cylinder four was misfiring. Changed the spark plugs. Now the car doesn't misfiring while driving, but still misfiring or jerking when the car is parked idling or at a stop light or stop sign and when reversing. But drives fine when accelerating.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Has the check engine light come back on? Also, you indicate it is rough at idle and in reverse. Have you confirmed there are no broken engine mounts?

Take a look through this link and let me know if it seems to mirror what you are experiencing.

Also, make sure there are no engine vacuum leaks. That can cause a rough idle.

Also, here are a few links that discuss engine mounts and what they can cause:

Let me know if any of those links help. If you find a broken mount or need directions on a specific component, let me know. Also, let me know if you have any questions.

Take care,
Joe
