I recently changed the fuel pump, filter, and pressure regulator, on my car, the regulator seemed to make it run a lot more smooth and makes the car turn on like I use to, but I still have that problem where it turns off all of sudden, I was told a faulty distributor could be the problem, and a person checked the timing on it and it is off so I am getting that done. Any thoughts on what it really could be?

If it dies like someone just shut the key off, you could have a failed ignition module, which is attached to the distributor. This type of failure can be thermal, as in it acts up when it's warm. That is not always the case. How does it do on restart? If you have to wait a bit for it to cool down, this is also a classic symptom of the module.
