Boiling hot Freon

The A/C blows cold for a little bit then blows hot and the Freon in the unit gets really hot, boiling hot.

Good evening.

The first thing you need to do is check the pressure in the Freon system to be sure there is sufficient pressure to activate the compressor.

If you do not have gauges, you can rent a set at a parts store.

When you command heat and cold, can you hear the blend door moving back and forth.
