The hazard lights work but the blinkers, lights, and the windshield wipers aren’t working. The lights are stuck on the first setting, so they are on all the time.

How do I fix it and how much does it cost? I don’t know anything about cars. So, I’ve been holding off on taking it somewhere because I don’t know where to take it and I don’t want to be taken advantage of like people are in movies.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

There are a couple things that will cause this, but we should start with the basics. If there are codes, then that is going to help get us on the right path so let's start with this:

The next thing is to check voltage coming from the TIPM. The TIPM is like a fuse block that has a logic circuit board which is a common failure point.

If you have no voltage coming from it on these circuits, then I would replace the TIPM.

This repair can cost a couple hundred dollars to a little over $500.00 depending on what part you get. If you find a used TIPM then they can be swapped but it needs to match how your vehicle is equipped or it will cause some things to not work.

I would suggest replacing it with a new one and having it programmed but this is most likely going to be more expensive.

Please see the wiring diagram below and let me know what questions you have.

Thanks
