The AC clutch is engaged and makes a rattling noise?

My a/c is running, the clutch is engaged and makes a rattling noise but if I drive fast on the freeway it seems to get cooler. When I stop, it blows warm. I checked the pressure on the low side of the a/c and it was in the red but nobody added Freon. Is that an indication of a plugged orphis?

We need to do a little more testing first to know for sure.

First, we need to check the pressures with a gauge set because if the low side is showing high then that may indicate a restriction but those are not reliable.

Here are a couple guides that will get us started:

I suspect we have two issues. First the freon may be low or restriction, second the clutch rattling shows the compressor may be failed as well.

So, we need to start with checking the pressure and go from there because that may indicate the compressor is the issue which means it needs to be replaced anyway.

See below for proper pressures and causes when they are not correct.

Please run through this info and let us know what you find. Thanks
