2005 Chevy Suburban Z71 1500 4wheel drive, automatic v8. Have climate control ac, with separate temp controls for driver and passenger.
Earlier this summer, AC would only blow very cold and at hyper speed. Bought a universal fit control module that attaches to the blower under the passenger side dash (don't remember what it was called) from ORiley for about $100. This was not original equipment, but universal fit from aftermarket supplier. Required minor wiring modification which instructions covered. Installed and ac was OK for a few months. Now, in very hot weather, ac shuts off when accelerating. In 10 - 20 seconds, the ac comes back. Maddening in hot weather in town - every time I accelerate from a stop sign the ac goes off.

I t may be the universal thing you installed causing the problem. Have it scanned to see if there is a problem there. It may be a sensor problem reading to high and shutting it off then back on. But a scanner may pick up something on this. A pro needs to do this.
