My cooling fan does not go on causing overheating when slow moving in traffic or when airflow through the radiator is not optimal. Where is the switch/sensor situated for me to test it and determine if that is indeed the problem?

Try running power directly to the cooling fan to see if it runs. If it doesn't, then the fan motor is bad. If it does run, then suspect the coolant sensor or relay. Some are mounted on the radiator and others near the thermostat housing on the engine. Here as two guides to help walk you through the repair.

and

Please run down these guides and report back.

Hi this could be a fuse in fusebox
Or relay of fan, the fan fuse and
Relay is on the left bottom corner
Of fusebox.

Easy way to see if fan works is to
unplug the temp g switch located next
To the thermostat (front) while the
Ignition is switched on fuly
The fan wil start if everything is corect

If u cecked fuses and relay and it is working
(Make sure of earthh wires on body as this
can create problems aswell)
Then yes it might be your fan.

Hello,

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so my technical information is very limited. Tell me, have you checked relays? There should be fan relays in the under hood fuse box. If you open it, there should be a layout of what each one is for. Locate the one that indicated cooling fan. Remove and check it to see if it tight, corrosion free, and is good.

If there is another relay in the box with the same part number, switch them to see if it makes a difference, or here is a link that shows how to check a relay:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

Also, since there is an indicator light on, you could scan the computer to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes. Here is a quick video showing how to it:

Let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe
