I have a 2001 2.0 jetta can I put a 'new' 2.0t engine?

You can only fit an engine that was standard equipment in your model, that is with out going through the hoops for rego and insurance and engineering at great expense, I am sure that yours only had the TDi diesel option available and even this would be very expensive to do.
