I am replacing the fuel pump I have got the lock ring off the tank. Down inside the tank is the pump inside a white plastic sending unit housing. How do you release that housing from the tank is there a trick to releasing it?

That is what I am looking at. I am trying to get the whole module out I believe the pump has a filter sock on it so I assume I have to pull the whole module to get the pump out of the housing?

Yes, there is a lot of bad information out there. I pulled that from another post here. Who knows where it originated from.
