Hi. I have a 92 Camaro RS. A few months ago, I had trouble starting it, and when I could get it started, it ran horribly. A friend of mine also had the same problem, and told me that I needed a better ground to the ecm. I grounded it out and it instantly fixed the problem, or so I thought. The other day, the problems came back, so I took out the ecm to see if the ground had came loose, well, it hadnt. But the connectors going into had started to melt. Any idea to what my problem may be here. Im lost, and cant seem to find any answer.

It sounds like you didn't have good contact with the ecm causing this. Check your main ground at the battery to engine as well besides the ecm ground. There is also a braided ground strap that is supposed to go from the head to body. Alot of times that has been disconnected and causes the body components to grond through the trans cable so it will eventually break. Make sure to clean all the grounds you can find, especially under the hood where the ecm is.
