I WAS WRONG $49 ONE WAS NOT THE CORRECT ONE (sorry!)

I WENT TO http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php AND FOUND THIS ONE---MODULE COMES WITH IT

http://my.cardone.com/English/club/members/customer/ecat_brands/imageinfo.asp?PARTNUM=302884MA

AS FAR AS DIAGRAMS, GOT THIS 1ST ONE FROM "MITCHELL I"

THE 2ND, I JUST MADE FOR YOU!

3RD IS A PIC OF MY BUDDY'S "CUTE LITTLE SET"--IT WAS PURCHASED AT HARBOR FREIGHT----HAS ALL KINDS A GOODIES IN IT, ALL IN ONE COMPACT, "KEEP IT ALL TOGETHER" TOTE....AND IT ALL WORKS FINE AND IS ACCURATE! I BELIEVE IT WAS IN THE $30 some odd RANGE............I HAVE THE BIGGER BULKY OLD STUFF THAT I HAVE OBTAINED OVER THE YEARS (STILL WORKS FOR ME!)

IF THEY DO NOT HAVE IT STILL, YOU MIGHT SEARCH THE NET USING THE MANUFACTURERS NAME---"3531" IS THE PART NUMBER AT THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE CASE......WHEN I LOOK FOR THE BEST PRICES, I INSERT A PART #, OR NAME, OR A GENERAL DESCRIPTION INTO http://www.shopzilla.com/ THEN I "SORT BY" OR GET A LONGER RESULTS LIST TO SPEED THINGS UP.........YOU MIGHT EVEN TRY THE DISTRIBUTOR #S IN THERE!

WE WILL PHONE COMMO AGAIN, BEFORE YOU START, OR EVEN DURING IF YOU WANT TO (LET ME KNOW SPECIFICS BY REPLYING TO MY PRIVATE MESSAGE, I STARTED BEFORE)

I'M ON HERE USUALLY EVERY EVENING (EASTERN)

THE MEDIC

SOMETHING WRONG W/ THE SITE, 4TH ATTEMPT TO SEND THIS--HAD TO REWRITE IT TWICE---THEN I GOT SMART THESE LAST TWO TIMES AND COPIED AND PASTED IT BACK IN!............NOW 5TH TRY!

Well my uncle came down and tested all the relays on the bronco and that was the bad one. He put a jumper wire in it and she fired right off

LOOK AT THE FEMALE CONNECTIONS, ARE THEY IN GOOD SHAPE, NOT BURNED OR MELTED?

INSERT THE RELAY IN THE CONNECTOR MULTIPLE TIMES TO SEE IF THAT "SCRAPES" YOU A GOOD CONNECTION.A DAB OF DIELECTRIC GREASE WON'T HURT EITHER

WITH THE RELAY REMOVED, CHECK THE FEMALE ENDS OF THE CONNECTOR, FOR VOLTAGE WHEN THE THE KEY IS "ON" OR EVEN WHEN THE THE KEY IS IN THE "START" POSITION. YOU MIGHT WANNA TEMPORARILY TAKE THE "S" WIRE OFF OF THE SOLENOID SO THE STARTER DOES NOT RUN WHILE YOU TEST

IF YOU WILL TELL ME WHAT THE RELAY IS FOR/ DOES, I WILL ATTEMPT TO TRACE ITS WIRING INTO AND OUT OF THE RELAY AND POST YOU, WHAT ELSE IN THAT CIRCUIT MIGHT AFFECT THAT RELAY'S OPERATION

SEND ME A PIC FROM 4-5 FEET OUT---POINT TO IT'S LOCATION WITH A DISTINGUISHABLE OR COLORED ITEM SO I CAN SEE EXACTLY WHERE IT IS IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER RELAYS/ ETC

ALSO DESCRIBE IT'S LOCATION

"MITCHELL I" DOES SHOW LOCATIONS OF COMPONENTS IN SOME OF THEIR DIAGRAMS. MAYBE I CAN IDENTIFY IT FROM YOUR INFO, I WILL SEND YOU THE DIAGRAM TOO, SO YOU CAN VERIFY. IF THAT'S POSSIBLE

SO FAR I FOUND THESE DIAGRAMS--MAYBE YOU CAN TELL ME THE RELAY'S NAME, SO I CAN GET INTO THE WIRING DIAGRAMS

I THINK ALL OF THESE ARE FOR A 5.8---2 ARE NOT LABELED (SO IF SOMETHING DON'T MAKE SENSE, COULD BE THE WRONG DIAGRAM

ALL I GOT LEFT IS:

RECHECK THE DISTRIBUTOR INSTALLATION...USE A RATCHET TO TURN THE ENGINE...DON'T BUMP IT WITH THE STARTER (MAYBE IT'S KICKING BACK AND CONFUSING YOU)...REMOVE THE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE BATTERY WHEN YOU DO IT.......THIS MIGHT BE THE "ONE TIME" IT BUSTS OFF, WHILE YOU "UNINTENTIONALLY HAND CRANK IT".....WE DON'T WANT THAT!

INSURE YOUR FIRING ORDER IS PLACED IN THE SAME DIRECTION THAT THE ROTOR BUTTON TURNS

SORRY!....I'M SORTA SPENT!

IF YOU HAD A CJ, WE'D BE CRUISING RIGHT NOW!

DO LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU DO COME UP WITH...I LEARN TOO!

GOOD LUCK
