1991 Dodge Stealth Clutch

Car wants to stall when engaging the clutch and a noise appears also. If you keep your foot on the clutch the car also smokes. When it is running it is fine. It is only acting up when the clutch is engaged

It sounds almost like when the ac compressor engages. A bit of a grind but again only when I depress the clutch. About 4 months ago I had the slave cylinder replaced.

If it sounds similar to a bad bearing, I would suspect that the throw out bearing may be bad or the clutch disc or pressure plate is damaged. That bad thing is it needs taken apart to be checked.
