Dodge Stealth 92' clutch prob

I hold down the clutch peddle and try to shift into a gear and it wont go in it would just make a loud grinding noise. The car has 150k . Also when I hold the clutch peddle to the ground I can feel the vibration of the motor and also when I rev it when in neutral the transmission gives off smoke. Please help me.=] Thnx. Zach

I am sure that several other motors will work in the car. But unless you are a wiring wizard the electrical issue will drive you nuts. Dealing with the computer system and its sensors is a major area of concern. I would either have the engine from the car rebuilt or put in a motor of the same kind and year.

You may find another engine that will work but troubleshooting the problems that crop up will be tough.
