It just wouldn't start. I drove out of town shut it off and it wouldn't start. I popped the clutch and got it home. Was told the starter. Had it replaced. It started about five or six times after the starter was replaced and then nothing. It runs like a champ if you pop the clutch. I don't hear a click or anything when I try to start it. I had the battery checked and it was fine, old but fine. Any suggestions on where the problem could be?

More than likely the issue is the clutch position switch. Basically there is something preventing the starter from engaging so to confirm this we need to check the voltage at the starter on both wires. You should have voltage on both wires when cranking the engine.

To confirm the switch is the issue, you want to back probe the switch on both wires and then put your meter on continuity or resistance/ohms and push the clutch in. You should have a closed circuit when it is depressed.

Please run through this info and let us know if you have questions. Thanks
