Will not start if the outside temperature is 38° or colder. Any ideas why it is doing this?

Good morning,

This could be the engine coolant sensor not reading correctly and delivering the proper amount of fuel for starting.

I would also check the fuel pressure when it is cold to be sure there is ample pressure for starting.

Maximum Fuel Pressure 448 kPa
Fuel Pressure (Engine Running) 448 kPa
Fuel Pressure (KOEO)
Fuel pump terminal grounded 448 kPa
Fuel Pump Volume 125 cc per 10 seconds

Is the check engine light on? If it is, do you know the codes that are set?

Removal and Installation

1. Partially drain the cooling system.

2. Remove the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Unclip and remove the sensor.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
