What was in my truck I stopped to do something and put it in park and all the sudden it started bogging out and then it shut off. After that I tried to crank it over again but it wouldn't start. All the fuses and relays are clicking and doing what they're supposed to do. The lights are coming on when I turn the ignition key to start the engine all the lights go dim as if to send power to the starter to turn the vehicle on, but I don't hear anything else after the relays click a couple of times. When I was trying to crank it over it actually turned on but it just seemed to keep cranking over and cranking over it and then it stopped and now it does nothing but the light still come on.

And now there's an indicator light in the information display that says that the traction or stability control has been disabled. There has been times before many months ago that when I would press on the gas and it would go a certain mile an hour that that message would come up in the display and all of a sudden it seems like the transmission just disengaged, but I haven't had that problem for a while.

Hi,

The first thing I need you to do is confirm the battery terminals are clean and tight. Next, follow this link to load test the battery:

Let me know what you find.

I don't know if you will understand this but before when everything was working correctly when I would turn the ignition all the way to on before cranking the engine over there used to be a dinging sound. Now there is no dinging sound only one ding and the message saying stability control disabled but I have not pushed the disable button.

Hi,

That makes sense to me. Are you sure the battery is good? Did you try the load test I sent? Honestly, the stability control light is usually related to a wheel speed sensor, but that wouldn't prevent it from starting. If the battery is weak enough, many different things can happen. Modules act strange when they don't have the right amount of voltage.

Let me know about the load test.

Joe
